David Shaw CV181 White Base - CV181 White Base

After a phone call to icon audio for advise on upgrading the valves on my Ps1 phono amp I bought 3x electro harmonicx gold the improvement to the sound was fantastic. This encouraged me to upgrade the valves on my St40 amp first with new gold lion Kt88. And finally with the David shaw white base Cv181 . Which just improved the sound again . With focused . ,clarity in mids /treble and controlled bass At each stage icon audio have been there to advise and there has been noticeable improvements to all aspects of the sound .

Well recommended upgrade, adds richness to the sound and a deeper bass.

Used these in my Stereo 40 Mk iv with signature capacitor upgrades. Much better than the black treasure cv181z's that I was using, they provide a more open dynamic sound. Paired with Gold Lion kt88's the amp is really sweet now. Sound is getting better all of the time.
